One-bedroom residence in Folie Village, Jalë

Summary
Thérèse is on the second floor in Folie Village, a hillside village above Jala Bay, on the coast of the Albanian Riviera between Dhërmi and Himara. The Ionian Sea stretches out in front and the Vetëtima mountains rise behind. The village is built on terraces descending toward the sea; Thérèse is one row above the lowest row, on the eastern side.
The village was designed by Oppenheim Architecture.

Spaces
The plan is open. The kitchen, dining area and living room form a single space along the north and west, with glazing on the sea side and sliding doors to a terrace that wraps around the southwest corner. The bedroom is set apart on the quiet side and has its own access to the terrace. A bathroom and a utility room complete the plan.

Location
The village is reached from the SH8 coastal road, twelve kilometers north of Himara — about twenty minutes. The beach and its bars are below. Tirana Airport is about three and a half hours away by car, north via Vlora and the Llogara Pass.
